Why does Dr. Georgiev spend so much time at the initial visit with a patient?

Investigating the underlying cause of medical issues takes quite a bit of time. This cannot be done in a typical 7-15 minute appointment. The initial two to five hour online visit involves taking detailed health history, and discussion regarding your health-related problems, concerns and goals. The doctor will explain the potential causes of patient's conditions, and a team approach will be conducted to determine further steps in the healing and preventative processes.

We do not look at you as a number, but as a whole individual with your unique metabolic and biochemical needs. The first step is to find out how YOU are "different". While all humans have the same systems and organs, the way in which these parts communicate with each other is unique to each individual. After carefully studying your medical history and discussing your health-related problems, Dr. Georgiev would suggests the biomarker tests which will provide the most pertinent information for the least amount of time, energy and money. His goal is to find and eliminate the root of your medical problems.

By appointment, we can discuss your health concerns with you, and we encourage you to share what you learn at New Age Medical with your primary care physician. If your primary doctors do not know whether their prescribed treatments will conflict with the nutritional, bio-identical hormone, or other treatments you requested from us, please ask your doctors to call us.

We are happy to discuss your medical care with any of your other doctors who have questions or are interested. Please ask them to call us with their specific questions and concerns. We send records to them only with your written and verbal consent.

Do you provide routine medical services like physical exams and PAP smears?

No. We are not a primary or urgent medical care facility. We specialize in functional medicine, nutritional physiology, and bio-identical hormone balancing.

Should I stop my medication before coming to New Age Medical?

No. We encourage you to be frank with your primary care physician. Tell your doctor about your plans to become healthy and drug free and ask for his/her help reaching this goal.

Why are your supplements not available in stores?

Most retail outlets sell products that have a fast turnover at a low cost, and they are unaware of what makes one supplement better than another. We are very careful choosing nutraceutical manufacturers. The supplements we suggest are very high quality. We provide our patients with information from where they can obtain them.

At your request, pharmaceutical grade supplements are also available.
